1. Grace Amey-Obeng (Net Worth: $100 Million)
The CEO of FC Beauty Salon & Cosmetics is believed to be one of Ghana’s richest women with over 95 employees and an estimated yearly turnover of $15 million. The Cosmetic company has grown so much so that there have been branches established in UK and Switzerland. The cosmetic and beauty salon also has branches spread across African countries including Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Nigeria. Some subsidiaries of the powerhouse include skin care products and a beauty college. She is ranked the 79th richest person in Ghana.
2. Gifty Lamptey (Net Worth: $135 Million)
The business woman is believed to be a large stakeholder in one of West Africa’s leading fertilizer supplier known as Sidalco. She is reported to be ranked in the 69th position on the global scale of rich women. Gifty Lamptey is believed to be the 69th richest person in Ghana
3. Kate Quartey-Papafio (Net Worth: $250 Million)
Kate Quartey-Papafio is the Chief Executive Officer of Reroy Cables Limited which is known widely to be one of Ghana’s leading manufacturers of electrical cables for all kinds of work with their clientele basically made up of Telecommunications companies. Aside its local market dominance, the company is believed to also have a strong international presence with exports of their products going out to many countries in Africa. All her wealth places her as the 48th richest person in the country.
4. Theresa Oppong-Beeko (Net Worth: $420 Million)
Theresa Oppong-Beeko’s fortune is believed to have come from her experience with Real Estates in Ghana. She has carved a name for herself in the industry and has made Manet Group a force to reckon with when the discussion of luxury and Real Estates come to mind.
The Real Estate giants are reported to own properties in the most expensive parts of town comprising offices, apartments and hotels.
One of their monumental properties is the Manet Towers at Airport City in Accra. Theresa Oppong-Beeko is reported to be the 24th richest Ghanaian.
5. Patricia Poku-Diaby (Net Worth: $720 Million)
Patricia Poku-Diaby started Plot Enterprise in Ivory Coast before having a branch set up in Ghana. The sole aim of her company is to deal in commodities including cocoa, cotton, cashew nut and wood. The company has gained a lot of clout and credibility and it has been listed on many international markets in countries like Dubai and in the United States of America.
In terms of the supply of Cocoa, Plot Enterprise is registered with the Cocoa Merchants Association of America. Plot Enterprise Ghana is also into cocoa processing. With all the businesses and wealth attributed to her, Patricia Poku-Diaby ranks 8th on the list of the richest Ghanaians.
