- First Lady of Ghana enstooled queen in Greater Accra
-The ceremony took place on Saturday November 11 to commemorate her developmental initiatives
The First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo has been enstooled as a queen of development on Saturday November 11 in the Ningo Traditional area, a suburb of the Greater Accra Region.
The wife of the president was enstooled under the stool name, Naa Naa Djangmahkuor I. she took to her Instagram page to announce her enstoolment by sharing pictures from the ceremony.
The enstoolment goes a long way to endorse the First Lady for her efforts to help her husband, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo bring development to Ghana.
She captioned her post, “On Saturday, I had the honor of being enstooled by the chiefs and people of Ningo Traditional area as the Development Queen of Great Ningo under the stool name Naa Naa Djangmahkuor I. I know the responsibility that this honor places on me and will do all I can towards the development of Ningo".
Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo has been involved in many developmental and humanitarian projects ever since the New Patriotic Party assumed office as the ruling party.
Chief among some of the projects which the First Lady is involved in is an NGO called Infanta Malaria which is aimed at kicking out malaria in infants.
She has also supported some projects to raise funds for some equipment for the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
