Fellaini has just six months left on his contract and he has reportedly caught the eyes of Turkish league outfit Besiktas.
Mourinho is desperate to strengthen his squad in January to be able to compete with a very strong Manchester City side for the Premier League title.
Though Fellaini has been a regular feature under the Portugese gaffer this summer, it is looking likely that he will be the first to leave Old Trafford in the January transfer window.
The former Real Madrid manager was full of praise for the 29-year-old former Everton man after the defeat at Chelsea last week.
