Abronye DC calls for investigation on Brong Ahafo Regional Minister

- NPP Brong Ahafo Youth Organizer has called for an investigation into the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister's activities

- He has accused the regional minister of terminating contracts and re-awarding the contracts to members of his own law firm

- He says the regional minister is the reason why the NPP is becoming more unpopular in the Brong Ahafo Region

The governing New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer, Mr. Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has urged government to commence an investigation into the alleged corrupt activities of the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr. Kweku Asomah Kyeemeh.

Abronye DC has urged government to set an example and start by punishing its own officials found to be involved in corruption in the fight to exterminate corruption in the country.

The firebrand NPP official has recently set his sights on the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Mr. Kweku Asomah Kyeremeh, and stated that the Regional Minister has been involved in corrupt activities adding that - if not checked - the regional is the reason why the NPP government has grown less popular in recent times.

Abronye DC has accused regional Minister Kyeremeh of terminating the contracts of lawyers in all the Brong Ahafo, and of awarding the said contracts to members of his own private law firm, Henewaa Chambers.

How can this person, who believes in the ideology of President Akuffo Addo, mingle himself with corrupt practices to tarnish the image of the president and the party, he should be investigated, and if found guilty, be punished,” he ordered.

Some members of the NPP have criticized Abronye DC for going public with his allegations, saying that the issue should have been directed at the party's leadership in order for it to be resolved internally.

Commenting on the issue on OTEC FM, Abronye DC defended his decision to go public saying that it is not a party issue.

"Regional minister position is not a party position so why should the party be the linked to it?” he asked.
