The captain of the Ghana Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan is set to dominate the entrepreneurship game in Ghana, with his successful ‘off-pitch’ businesses.
In a tweet posted by the footballer on Tuesday, Asamoah is set to launch his new venture, an energy drink called ‘Run’.
Asamoah Gyan captioned the tweet “Hello Ghana… let’s RUN… proudly made in Ghana.”
The footballer only a few weeks ago, acquired license to operate his forthcoming airline, Baby Jet Airlines.
Asamoah Gyan, aside his football career has stepped into the shoes of other entrepreneurial pursuits, including real estate, events and logistics, and recently the bottled water business with his new product, Paradise Pac.
Asamoah Gyan started his football career after completing SHS in 2003, by opting to join Ghana Premier League side Liberty Professionals.
However, he showed so much promise that he spent just under a year with the Dansoman-based club, scoring 10 goals in 16 appearances.
He then made a move to Europe and signed his first professional contract with Italian Serie A side, Udinese.
Since 2008, Asamoah Gyan has had a round of successful stints with several notable European clubs including Stade Rennais and Sunderland.
In 2017, Asamoah Gyan joined the Turkish club Kayserispor. He is married with three sons; Frederick, Floyd and Rafael.
