Dance hall heavyweights in Ghana, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale and Samini have been at each other on Twitter over a tweet made by the latter.
A few days the “Taking Over” hit maker received an invitation to the Flagstaff House to meet President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, many other musicians including Samini also wanted in on the action.
As a result, the “My Own” singer also made a tweet requesting the president to also invite him over the seat of government.
Both musicians have resorted to calling each other names and it is unlikely that the alleged rivalry between the musicians is going to seize anytime soon.
Yesterday, YEN.com.gh reported that Samini had ‘backtracked on his invitation and indicated that it was only a ‘joke’. However, Shatta Wale came out to mock Samini over his ‘gaffe’ and compared him (Samini) to popular comedian, DKB.
Shatta Wale took to his Facebook page and replied to an article related to Samini’s response with the caption, “A joke to the president wow r u DKB...My tweet to meet President Akufo-Addo was a Joke – Samini.”
The ensuing back and forth argument between the two artistes has been carried to social media platform, Twitter where the musicians are having their own “War of words”.
This is what is happening between the two artistes:
