Nigerian musician Davido, known in real life as David Adedeji Adeleke has set social media ‘ablaze’ with his celebration after winning the 2017 MTV EMA “Best African Act” Award.

The “Fall” hit maker was captured in a video celebrating his win with his friends who were all ecstatic and they danced their joy out.

The fascinating thing about the video that was posted on social media was that the talented Nigerian musician and his friends were dancing to Ghanaian songs.

Two Ghanaian songs that were heard in the background were R2Bees’ “Over” and popular “One Corner” song by Patapaa.

The Nigerian musicians and his friend who could not keep calm expressed their joy by singing along to the songs and dancing wildly to show their joy.

When “One Corner” was heard playing, some friends of the “If” singer were seen in the video exhibiting their ‘crazy’ dance moves that normally went with the song. Davido was also seen in the video doing his own version of the “One Corner” dance.

Davido pipped other artistes like fellow countryman Wizkid, Babes Wodumo, C4 Pedro, Nyashinki and Nasty C to pick up the coveted 2017 MTV EMA “Best African Act 2017 award on the night.

The recognition and awards ceremony was held in the SSE Arena in Wembley, London last Sunday and was hosted by Rita Ora.

Upon picking the prestigious award, Davido dedicated the laurel to his mother of blessed memory.

Davido is one of Nigeria’s most sought-after musicians at the moment. His songs are played and listened o in many parts of Nigeria and in several countries on the African continent. He has hosted many concerts and has had the privilege of having some of his tickets for some shows sold out.
