EL announces own record label after months of denying quitting BBnZ

Rapper, EL has confirmed parting ways with BBnZ Live, the multi-purpose entertainment company which has managed his career over the years after months of denial.

There had been rumours of him leaving the record label months ago but his manager, Stephan Acquaye vehemently denied.

"We heard media reports suggesting that E.L had said he was contemplating changing his management and leaving BBnZ but when we asked him, he said it is not true. In fact, I was the one who personally asked him and he denied he had such thoughts,” Stephan is eported to have stated in July.

But at a media briefing on his upcoming BAR concert and album launch in Accra on Tuesday, November 14 disclosed he was no more a BBnZ Live artiste.

According to him, he has now signed onto to VONation, his own record label which will be headed by Stephan.

This is a major career decision and very bold considering that he has been with the label throughout his time as a mainstream artiste.

E.L was the music president at BBnZ, won a total of five awards at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards including the most coveted Artiste of the Year trophy.
