Social media users 'angrily' react to GHc 600 cedis rate to see Kumkum Bhagya cast

YEN.com.gh informed its readers a day ago that Adom TV was hosting some stars of popular Indian series “Kumkum Bhagya” at a dinner in the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra.

We also indicated that it would cost fans of the series a whooping GHc 600 to be able to meet, wine and dine with the cast of the telenovela.

The news of the coming of the Indian stars was however received with mixed reactions from many Ghanaians on social media.

Many people were of the view that the ‘gate fee’ that was being charged for just a night with the foreign stars was outrageous, to say the least.

The fact of the matter is that, most of the viewership base of the much-watched TV series may not be able to afford such a fee just to see their popular actors and actresses.

Some social media users in responding to the article ‘fought’ each other over the issue. While some people were of the view that the price was ‘cool beans’, others lamented that the fee was extremely ridiculous.

According to the organizers, anyone who paid to partake in the event was going to be entitled to a red carpet treatment, a lot to eat and drink. Live band music and the chance to take unlimited pictures with the cast of the show.
