-A statue of President Akufo-Addo will soon be commissioned in Nigeria's Imo State
-The statue is expected to be commissioned by the state's Governor, Rochas Okorocha who's had cordial relations with the Ghana president since his electoral victory in 2016.
A statue of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been completed and is set to be unveiled in Owerri, the capital city of the Nigerian state of Imo.
The Governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha who sanctioned the building of the statue is expected to commission it at a yet to be announced date.
President Akufo-Addo and Governor Okorocha have struck a cordial relationship since the former was elected as Ghana president last year.
It will be recalled that Nana Akufo-Addo, as president-elect, visited Imo State for the celebration of their Thanksgiving Day as the Special Guest of Honour.
He joins President Jacob Zuma of South Africa and President Ellen Sirleaf-Johnson in this regard as they already have their statues in the state.
