Style icon of the year is no surprising win for Samira Bawumia, the Second Lady of Ghana, as she has demonstrated time and time again, her exquisite sense of fashion.
Samira, who has been named in speculative lists of potential first female presidents of Ghana, carries out her second lady duties with diligence and elegance.
She has hosted talk shows and held forums on arts and women empowerment, all with an air beautiful style to add grace the events.
At a youth summit and art exhibition programme recently, the Second Lady, as usual pulled no punches with an African-pattern inspired dress and headwrap.
She expressed her delight at the inspiration exhibited by the youth through the use of art, to achieve great success.
The summit organized by Alive Paintings, also featured a special painting of the Second Lady.
The photos shared via her Instagram page, were captioned: “At a youth summit and Art Exhibition programme dubbed "Career and Talent: The way forward" organised by Alive Paintings. It is refreshing to see highly motivated youth inspire each other to attain greater heights. When we are committed and passionate about whatever we find ourselves doing we would definitely be recognised and successful. Congratulations Alive Paintings, you are truly talented!”
