- Jacob Thompson has neuroblastoma
- Doctors have sadly given him just a month to live
- His family organized an early Christmas for him and thousands sent their best wishes
A brave nine-year-old boy has celebrated Christmas early following doctors' estimation that he only has a month to live.
Jacob Thompson has neuroblastoma. He has been at a children's hospital in Maine, US, since October, when he was first diagnosed with a tumor.
His parents, Michelle and Roger, decided to arrange an early Christmas for him. They appealed to well-wishers on Facebook to send in their cards.
The response was overwhelming. The family received over 66,000 Christmas cards from all over the world for Jacob.
On November 12, the family finally gathered in his hospital room to mark Christmas day. They expressed their gratitude to well-wishers in subsequent Facebook posts.
