- The driver was at top speed when he lost control of the steering wheel
- Four passengers on-board the vehicle sustained minor injuries
A commercial vehicle on Thursday afternoon veered off the main Labone-Circle road and crashed into a gutter near the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) in Accra.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the mini-passenger bus with registration number GE 1386-13 was speeding when he lost control of the steering wheel.
Reports say the driver who didn’t want to collide into other oncoming vehicles resorted to the gutter, injuring four passengers on-board the vehicle.
Some other reports indicate that the ‘trotro’ driver with the fear of being arrested by the police, quickly went for his cash from his mate and escaped.
Meanwhile, some police personnel from the Nima station quickly rushed to the scene to control traffic.
The police also towed the vehicle and arrested the driver’s mate for further questioning.
