- Tourists have been warned against Ghana's unpleasant road safety measures
- The report places Ghana alongside Afghanistan
Ghana has been ranked low on the International SOS and Control Risks index on road safety.
In the report, Ghana was placed alongside Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guyana.
The report continues to state that Ghana remains one of the high-risk travel destinations across the world.
This report follows earlier unconfirmed reports that Ghana is highly prone to terror attacks as claims have it that ISIS officials are now luring Ghanaian youth into the terrorist group.
The travel security risk ratings are determined based on the current threat posed to travelers and international assignees by political violence (including terrorism, insurgency, politically motivated unrest and war), social unrest (including sectarian, communal and ethnic violence) as well as violent and petty crime.
