More details on the death of ace Asempa FM show host

YEN.com.gh has learnt that ace radio broadcaster, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, popularly known as KABA passed away at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.

Some sources close to the radio journalist revealed that Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong reported to work last week but complained of uneasiness due to an illness.

The reports continued that the radio icon left work and returned home due to his inability to work on that day.

However, some unconfirmed reports revealed that the journalist died as a result of his blood sugar shooting up. He was rushed to the hospital when the situation became critical but unfortunately died on arrival at the hospital.

Some reports revealed that the “Eko si sen?” show host was diabetic. The show host was noted for his vigorous anti-corruption campaigns.

His death has stunned many Ghanaians and they have taken to social media platforms to express their sorrow.

When the news was first reported, many people did not believe it because it came as a shock as the radio personality was always heard very bubbly over the radio.

Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, known as Kaba by many people is a show host of Accra-based Asempa FM. He was married to Class FM presenter, Valentina Ofori Afriyie. The couple tied the knot last year in June and the couple have a baby together.

The wedding was held in Santasi, a suburb of Kumasi and it was attended by high-ranking personalities in the radio fraternity including Kwame Sefa-Kayi and some top staff of Asempa FM.
