Kwadwo Asare passed away on Saturday at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a short ailment.

The ex-president, John Dramani in a Facebook post said he was shocked when he heard the unfortunate news of the influential broadcaster.

“A sad day for us all. Received the shocking news of the passing of KABA. My condolences to the family, MBG and the media fraternity,” he wrote.

The sudden demise of the journalist has stunned many Ghanaians as tributes continue to pour in.

Some unconfirmed reports indicate that the broadcaster died as a result of high sugar level.

Reports say he was rushed to the hospital after his condition became critical but died few hours after his arrival.
