As more and more tributes come in for the the late Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, popularly known as KABA of Asempa FM's Ekosii Sen fame, a Member of Parliament is pushing for a state burial in his honour.

KABA died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital on Saturday after he was rushed to there following a short illness.

His sudden death has shocked many Ghanaians who have expressed their grief in various forms.

Speaking on the unfortunate incident, the Member of Parliament of Bodi, Sampson Ahi was of the opinion that KABA be honoured with a state burial.

According to him, the Ekosii Sen show host was an excellent presenter who deserved such an honour.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP thus called on government to put his suggestion into consideration because it was not out of place.

“I will call on the government to give him a state burial because he did a yeoman’s job and served Ghana well…,” he said.

Mr Ahi could be said to have had a very good relationship with the late KABA as he constantly featured him on his show.

KABA left behind a wife, Valentina Ofori Afriyie, who is also a broadcaster with Accra-based Class FM and their infant daughter.
