The Multimedia Group has opened a book of condolence in loving memory of the late Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, popularly called KABA.
The book of condolence was opened yesterday to enable sympathizers mourn with the deceased family and the Multimedia Group.
KABA’s Multimedia Group colleagues, friends from the media, and ardent listeners of his most talked-about political show ‘Ekosii Sen’ are crowding the reception of the Multimedia Group office to sign the book.
The signers are penning down fond memories they have of and shared with the talented broadcaster.
The nation was rocked with news of KABA’s death on Saturday.
Since then, personalities including President Nana Akufo Addo and former President John Mahama have all expressed shock towards his death.
Tributes have been pouring out from notable members of the society such as Mr. Asiedu Nketia; Kofi Jumah; Ade Coker and Frankling Cudjoe of IMANI.
Others, home and abroad have also taken to their social media handles to express their shock at the news and to console KABA’s family.
KABA is reported to have fallen sick suddenly on Saturday morning and was rushed to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, he could not survive the sickness and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Kwadwo Asare Baffuor Acheampong made a mark in broadcasting working with the Multimedia Group since 2009.
Apart from the popular ‘Ekosii Sen’ political and current affairs talk show, KABA also hosted other radio programmes on Asempa FM until his sad demise on Novermber 18, 2017.
KABA was adjudged the Best Talk Show Host 2017 in this year’s Radio and Television Personality (RTP) Awards,
The management of Multimedia Group have announced a memorial service which is being held today Monday to commemorate the passing on of their beloved and hardworking staff.
KABA was thirty-seven (37) years old and survived by a wife, Valentina Ofori Afriyie and a seven month old baby.
