Popular broadcast journalist and women's rights activist, Dr. Joyce Akumaa Dangotey-Padi, popularly known to Ghanaians as Akuma Mama Zimbi, has also mourned the late Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong, also known as KABA.
During a memorial service held in honor of Mr. Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong, many well known broadcasters and others in Ghana's media industry were present to mourn, and pay homage to the award winning broadcast journalist's memory.

In her social media post on Instagram, Mama Zimbi wrote that she hopes KABA finds "eternal peace in the realms of the Father almighty." The memorial service, which was organized by management of Multimedia Group Limited, was attended by all of the company's well known broadcasters. Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia also made an appearance at the memorial service.

According to reports, several of KABA's closest colleagues, like Countryman Songo and Captain Smart, were inconsolable and wept deeply for the loss of their comrade.
A recent statement by Korle-bu Teaching Hospital says KABA's cause of death is yet to be determined, although some have suspected that it has to do with a spike in the late broadcaster's blood sugar levels.
