Popular radio icon, late Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, fondly known as KABA revealed that even though he had gone through Teacher Training College and taught for 6 years, his dream was to become a broadcaster.
Speaking on TV3’s culinary show “Asanka Delight” with show host Jackie Ankrah, Kaba indicated that he stil had in his possession a letter that he received from a CNN news anchor when he wrote to her.
The “Ekosii sen?” radio show host revealed that he wrote a letter to former CNN news anchor, Fionnuala Sweeney informing her of his ambitions of one day becoming a broadcaster.
He indicated that Fionnuala Sweeney advised him to go to school to be able to make his ambition a reality. He however revealed that the educational path he found himself on did not make him realize his ambition of becoming a broadcaster immediately.

Kaba added that after attending training college and teaching for six years, he decided to take up some courses at The Ghana Institute of Journalism.
He said after completing the courses, a friend of is introduced him to Top FM where he eventually landed his first broadcasting job.
The “Ekosii sen?” radio show host went on to reveal that many people thought he could not speak English because of the way he spoke Twi fluently on radio.
Kaba said that he learnt to speak Twi fluently as he grew up because his grandfather was a chief in their village. He said he spant some of his days in the chief’s palace and some days in a mission house.
Kaba passed on to glory upon reaching the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra when he was rushed to the health facility after a short illness.
