A 62-year-old retired policeman has started a vegetable garden on his pavement to help feed hungry people in his neighbourhood.

Johan Scott, from Heidelberg, Germany started the garden after his cauliflower was stolen. He consequently decided to plant more vegetables.

RapportWeb shared his story on Facebook recently.

It quoted Scott as saying:

It makes my heart happy when I see people eating my vegetables. That is why I planted this, because the people are hungry, they need this.
