Burgeoning teen actress Clara Benson popularly known as Maame Serwaa is poised to have fun with many children this Christmas with the help of some big manes in the movie and music industry in Ghana.
The actress and her foundation called "The Maame Serwaa Foundation" has put together a program where children would come together and have fun with some of Ghana’s entertainers on December 30 this year.
According to the actress, the program dubbed, “A Day with Maame Serwaa: Putting Smiles on Children’s Faces” is aimed at raising awareness for her foundation which she expects to start operations early next year. The objective of the foundation is to promote girl child education by supporting some street children to acquire some education.
The target of the foundation is to see some young ladies through primary school to JSS. The foundation would also provide some basic needs of the students as they get admitted into school.
The one day event is scheduled to take place at the Afua Sutherland’s Park popularly called Children’s Park located in the heart of Accra. There would be many fun activities to keep the children engaged, her management indicated.
The management of the actress revealed that some big names in the entertainment industry including Nana Ama McBrown, Bismark the Joke, Emelia Brobbey, Kwaku Manu, Fella Makafui, Bill Asamoah, Vivian Jill Lawrence and diminutive actor Yaw Dabo would grace the occasion.
Musicians who are also billed to perform for the children on the day of the event include Dade Opanka, Keche, Cartoon of TV3’s “Talented Kidz” fame and Don Itchi.
The actress not too long ago appeared in a video while speaking in an interview with AMP TV where she gave answers to some personal questions and went on to reveal that she was originally from the Western Region of Ghana.
The actress has starred in many Kumawood-produced movies and has acted alongside some popular names in the movie industry.
