The House was, as usual, being moderated by Speaker, Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye, but proceedings soon took a different twist after some Minority members stood up to register their displeasure with some happenings.

Class FM reports that first Minority Chief Whip, Ahmed Ibrahim, attempted to draw the Speaker’s attention to something but was ignored despite already standing on his feet.

The Speaker then angered Minority members the more after handing the floor to MP for Elembelle Mr Kofi Buah  to  speak ahead of the Minority Chief Whip.

Mr. Buah himself tried to alert the Speaker to make his senior colleague speak first, but none of his words were heeded, with Prof Ocquaye pushing for proceedings to continue.

The Speaker’s move got the Minority irked with Chief Whip Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak rising up to accuse him of disrespect.
