Host of Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ morning show, Kwami Sefa Kayi has been conferred with a ‘Distinguished Service medal’.
The ace broadcaster was given the honour by the Council of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), as recognition for his contributions towards the nation’s development.
Mr. Sefa Kayi was honored together with eight other persons at a ceremony held on the KNUST campus on Friday.
He, therefore, now goes into the Hall of Fame of the university, having exhibited a "strong advocacy role in support of infant health delivery”, a citation in his honor read.
The multiple award-winning journalist has been leading a campaign to raise funds to purchase incubators to help save the lives of babies that are born prematurely.
His efforts have gained lots of plaudits from a large section of Ghanaians, and it appears the Council of KNUST hold him in very esteem.
Mr. Sefa Kayi received a citation from the Council, before being conferred with a ‘Distinguished Service medal' for his role in developing Ghana.
