Veteran hiplife artist, Reginald Yaw Asante Ossei, better known as Reggie Rockstone, has preached caution regarding the current entertainment industry feud between Ghanaian and Nigerian artists.

The rapper popularly referred to as the "Godfather of Hiplife" has urged stakeholders in the industry to 'squash' the ongoing war of words between Ghanaian artistes, and Nigerian artistes.
Reggie Rockstone is of the opinion that continuing the feud is not a good idea since the situation could degenerate into full blown violence against Ghanaian or Nigerian artists in either countries.

Speaking to Ghanaweb.com, Reggie Rockstone stated - as far as he knows - there has never been "any issues" between Ghanaian and Nigerian artists that he knows of. He said he believed fans were pushing the issue further and were acting fanatically.
"We also have to be careful how we evoke old sentiments because Ghana and Nigeria have a very dark past, you remember Ghana must go? so be careful. Divide and conquer, you have to be careful. It’s from your thoughts comes words and your words come action,” he stressed.

According to Reggie Rockstone, the situation could end up degenerating into physical violence because some may not see the issue as a show business issue, and attack Nigerians in Ghana, or Ghanaians in Nigeria.
The veteran Ghanaian rapper went on to say that an artist's opinion of another shouldn't be regarded as that of the entire country since the artist only represents himself.
