High-ranking members of the Akufo-Addo-led administration took time off government business and attended the 50th birthday celebration of experienced legal practitioner, Ace Annan Ankomah.

The extravagant birthday party which took place at the plush Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra saw the presence of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Second Lady, Samira Bawumia.

A host of other celebrities who were also spotted at the milestone celebration of the ace lawyer. Some of the media personalities who were at the event included Kwame Sefa-Kayi who served as the Master of Ceremonies for the night.

The colorful ceremony saw Second Lady Samira Bawumia propose a toast in honor of the seasoned lawyer which was followed by a musical performance from the wife of the Ace Ankomah in celebration of her husband.

Other government officials who were present at the celebration were Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey who is Ghana’s Foreign Minister, Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta, Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko and Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare.

Not too long ago, the seasoned lawyer urged churches in Ghana to comply and adhere to the laws of the country. He was speaking on the theme, “The legal status of the Church in Ghana” during the Ekklesia Roundtable Series (ERS) held in Accra.

He encouraged all churches to duly register their churches at the Registrar General’s Department and also admonished them to register any side business they might be operating so as to facilitate the payment of tax to the government on the businesses.
