The families of the late ‘Ekosii Sen’ presenter, KABA, have declared their intention to take up whole responsibility of burying him.
According to the family, led by Nana Ansah Kwao IV, burying the late Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acehampong is the way to pay its last respect to their deceased son.
The family arrived at this decision after holding many talks with the Multimedia Group over who would spearhead the burial and final funeral rites of the late journalist.
The head the family, at the one week celebration of KABA’s passing over the weekend explained the family’s decision.

According to him, their late son had served the Multimedia Group for many years, and so it was time for the family to serve him by taking up sole responsibility for his burial.
The family head who is also the Adumasa Hene, acknowledged the good employer-employee relationship that existed between their deceased son and multimedia.
However, the family demands that Multimedia hands over the burial and funeral rites to us, he stated.
Nana Ansah Kwao IV added that KABA did his best to serve his former employers and the nation at large as a journalist; therefore it is the turn for the family to show him their last respect.
He disclosed that the death of Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong has brought sadness to the family because it was unexpected.
“It is sad for the family because we were not expecting this. What we can do is to give him our last respect,” he said.
Nana Ansah Kwao stated that through his hard work and the lots of lives he impacted, KABA has brought glory to his hometown and Ghana as a whole therefore burying him remains the best decision the family could ever take.
“We are not giving the body of our late son to be buried by Multimedia; we the family want to do that ourselves,” he stated.
Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, affectionately called KABA died on Saturday November 18, 2017.
He met his untimely demise at age 37 after a short illness.
Until his death, KABA was the host of ‘Ekosii Sen’, a political and current affairs talk show on Asempa FM, a subsidiary of the Multimedia Group.
He left behind a wife, Valentina Ofori Afriyie and a seven-month-old baby.
He will be laid in state on December 15 and 16 2017.
Thanksgiving service will follow on December 17 at the Hebron Prayer Center, where he worshipped until his death.
