The former president, Jerry Rawlings, has always been singing the praises of the NPP administration especially as the government says it stays committed to ending corruption.

Jerry Rawlings, since the inauguration of Nana Addo, has literally attended most, if not all, of state functions organised by the government.

According to Jerry Rawlings, the achievements of the NPP administration truly deserves their win in the 2020 elections.

He believes that the Akufo-Addo-led administration has been pragmatic in dealing with the canker of illegal small-scale mining popularly known as Galamsey and has backed the campaign with a joint police-military task force (Operation Vanguard) to police it.

“These people think they can unseat this man [Akufo-Addo] in 2020?” the former military ruler quizzed in an interaction with the CEO of EIB Network, Bola Ray (Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi), when the latter called on him to officially invite him to the launch of his biography come September 21, 2017.

But on her Facebook page, Dzifa Gomashie tries to understand this new found love of Jerry Rawlings:

"President Rawlings appears to be happier with President Akufo-Addo. It’s just like a father who abandons his real children and then goes to adopt kids from an orphanage...then shows off his adopted kids when his real kids are there," she stated.
