Popular Ghanaian actress, Nana Ama McBrown, has revealed that once upon a time, when her acting career was still in its infancy she was once paid as little as 40GHC for an acting role.
Speaking at this year's edition of Tek Talk held at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Nana Ama McBrown told student's that the road to achieving one's ambitions isn't an easy one.
She told students of how difficult it was for her when she started out, telling them of a time when she was paid a bare GHC40 cedis for a character role she had played.

“I could iron two maxi bags of clothes and do other stressful jobs, but this did not deter me from pursuing my dream of becoming an actress. When later I was featured in a movie dubbed “Kae Dabi” I was paid only GH¢40,” she told the audience.
According to the popular Kumawood actress, it's the passion she has for acting regardless of the struggles she experienced that has made her who she is today.

She also spoke of how some who started the acting career with her gave up due to the difficulties, and added that it's because she persevered that she is where she is today.
"I am therefore urging you to be mindful that all is not rosy on the road to achieving your dreams," she urged the audience presence.
