Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as award-winning rapper Sarkodie, has opened up about his 'struggles' during his early moments as a father.
Sarkodie who became the father to an adorable baby girl Titi, just over a year ago, said during the first weeks post the birth of his child, he found it hard to ‘keep his distance’ from long-time girlfriend, Tracy.
The rapper in an interview with Tim Westwood during his Highest music tour, said he had been cautioned against being intimate with Tracy after her delivery, a feat Sarkodie described as challenging.
“So my daughter came and the first two weeks or one month, I’m not supposed to touch her (Tracy). You are not supposed to do anything and that was like the hardest time. You can (hold her) but you don’t have to let it lead to the ‘main thing’ so you need to take a break which is like very very hard. What I was doing was trying to take my mind off it and trying to do things that can make me focus on something else,” Sarkodie said.
However, Sarkodie complained that this was proved hard to do, since Tracy always walked around the house in “tempting” clothing.
Sarkodie said, he had to redirect his attention a lot of other things to keep his mind focused.
Sarkodie and Tracy have an adorable daughter, named Adalyn Owusu Addo, who is often affectionately called Titi.
On the cover on his new album, The Highest, Sarkodie features himself and little Titi holding hands.
The rapper added that his life has massively changed since the birth of his daughter.
