Veteran Ghanaian hiplife artiste, Reginald Yaw Asante, better known as Reggie Rockston,e has disclosed that he brushed aside the ‘Shatta-Wizkid feud in a recent conversation with Wizkid himself.
According to Reggie, he had very important business discussions with Wizkid and did not pay attention to their feud.
Speaking to Hitz FM in Accra, the hiplife grandpapa revealed that he did not want to look like an attention seeker in his conversation with the musician.
Reggie in his interview, insisted that he does not believe there is a brawl between the two artistes but a mere misunderstanding which has been further fueled by the media.
“It’s about sensationalism so he needs to tread cautiously. What happened was based on fans. Nigerians haven’t disrespected us; we only have a musical beef. I’m an African, I will never speak against an African country,” Reggie said.
Reggie Rockstone in his conversation insisted that Ghanaians have more issues to address in the country than to focus on a musical beef against another African country.
“We have more issues here. People need to also think there can be repercussions. Going to Nigeria, we have to look over our shoulders now. Let’s try and get Ghana on DStv”, he said.
The veteran rapper added that, “they play a lot of Nigerian music than foreign music. We have to check our home. This could ruin businesses. Music is supposed to bring us together and not divide us. It makes it seem like we are envious of them. Let’s get our acts together”.
