Police caught in video slapping and kicking helpless KNUST students

-The police in Asokwa, Kumasi have been captured in avideo brutalising KNUST students

Some students from the University Hall, popularly known as Katanga, in the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) were on Saturday brutalised by the Asokwa police in Kumasi.

The students who were returning from the Luv FM Old School’s reunion were reported to have clashed with their colleagues from the Unity Hall, also known as Conti.

Police officers in an attempt to prevent an escalation of the clashes, rather descended on the Katanga boys beating them mercilessly at Tech junction.

In a video making rounds on social media, some police officers were seen slapping and kicking the seemingly helpless students.

Though some of the students and other onlookers pleaded for leniency, the officers of the law would not heed as they continued to slap the students while they dragged them into a waiting police van.

Eight students were arrested by the police were released on bail later.
