Ghanaian hip life heavyweight, Obrafour, has said Ghanaians and Nigerians alike should give Shatta Wale a break.
According to the ‘Ghana rap sofo’, Shatta Wale is known for his ‘say it all’ attitude and so Ghanaians must understand that and stop criticising the ‘Taking Over’ artiste unnecessarily.
Obrafour’s defence comes in the wake of massive condemnation in which Shatta Wale has found himself in the past few weeks.
It all started when Charles Nii Amarh Mensah, as Shatta is privately known, launched an ‘attack’ on Wizkid, saying the Nigerian singer is not a superstar.

Shatta Wale’s comments did not go down well with a section of the public and they took to social media to insult him.
His critics largely included Nigerian fans of Wizkid, who unsurprisingly unleashed venom on the self-acclaimed dancehall king.
Much to Shatta Wale’s displeasure, colleagues Tic Tac and Reggie Rockstone also condemned him for starting the ‘beef’ with the Nigerians.
But in his first comment on the Shatta-Naija beef, Obrafour said Shatta Wale should be spared those criticisms because he had no bad intention of saying Wizkid is no superstar.
In an interview on Hitz FM Wednesday morning, Obrafour disclosed that he is not happy with the way the issue has been blown out of proportion.
This, he said, happened only because some Ghanaians want to attach mischief to Shatta Wale’s harmless statements.
According to Obrafour, Shatta Wale’s comment indicates that he believes in himself.
Therefore, Ghanaians should rather support Shatta than crucifying him for the Nigerians.
“For him to say he wants Wizkid to rather see him as the superstar shows that the guy [Shatta Wale] believes in himself,” he stated.
