Shatta Wale is involved with long-time girlfriend, Diamond Appiah Gbagonah better known as Shatta Michy. The couple have a son together known as Majesty.

Shatta Wale was accused of possessing cocaine in his car when a video went viral on social media of the artiste stepping on some ‘whitish’ substance. Many people took to social media after the video was seen and made a whole lot of noise about it. What made many people suspicious about the substance was that it appeared Shatta Wale was trying to hide it under his feet

The musician however in a live video, came out to clear the air on the matter and revealed that the whitish substance was not hard drugs but rather, a fork in a rubber that was given to them at a restaurant.

2. His appearance at Stonebwoy’s concert in Ashiaman

It is somewhat an established rumor that Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are fierce rivals in the dancehall genre in Ghana. The two showed their ‘dislike’ for each other by giving themselves nicknames with Shatta Wale being referred to as “Corporal Nii” and Stonebwoy being nicknamed “Sergeant Lee”.

However during Stonebwoy’s, “Ashiaman to the World” Concert, the “Taking Over” hit maker appeared and shared the same stage with Stonebwoy and the gesture got many people talking on social media. His action put to bed, the rumors making rounds over his rivalry with Stonebwoy.

3. When he was allegedly caught in bed with Afia Odo

In yet another visit to the United States of America, a picture of the musician and actress Afia Odo went viral on social media and got many people asking questions. In the picture, it appeared that dancehall artiste had been involved with the actress. The “Dancehall Commando” song maker however came out to debunk the rumors and cleared the air on the matter. He revealed that nothing untoward had gone on between himself and the beautiful actress.

4. During his 33rd Birthday

Shatta Wale made national headlines during his birthday in October this year. The musician received a special birthday message from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo inviting him to the Flagstaff House. The musician paid a courtesy call on the president some days later and he received an award during the visit.

He also used the opportunity to fete some people and also went on a procession with his fans. His birthday was a big deal in Ghana and many people talked about it on social media.

5. Wizkid Beef

Shatta Wale made some comments about Nigerian musician, Wizkid, born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun which did not sit down well with ardent fans of the “Daddy Yo” hit maker. A social media war between Ghana and Nigeria ensued and it sent a lot of people talking on social media.

The incident drew a lot of attention from many big names in the entertainment industry in both Ghana and Nigeria including Timaya.
