Chairman Wontumi shows the world his gold chain and wristwatch

- Chairman Wontumi revealed that his gold necklace cost him $200,000

- He added that his wristwatch is composed of both gold and diamond parts, and it cost him $120,000

- He dismissed the allegation that he is involved in illegal mining, popularly known as 'galamsey'

Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly referred to as Chairman Wontumi, is the Ashanti regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In an interview with Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM), Chairman Wontumi disclosed that he owns a gold chain worth $200,000.

According to him, the chained is called “Wontumi”.

He also added that his wristwatch, which has both gold and diamond components, cost him $120,000.

The politician, who is also a businessman , also revealed that he has over a 100 houses in the Ashanti region alone.

He is generally known as a mogul in the mining industry, but dispelled the notion that he is involved in illegal mining.

“It is not galamsey. I have worked in the mining sector before. I had a large scale mining organization" he stated.
