Highlife legend, Julius Kojo Antwi has jumped to the defense of under fire, afro dancehall artiste, Ebony over her stage craft and how she appears publicly.
According the ‘Mr Music Man’ criticizing the talented budding songstress publicly will not achieve any impact but rather kill her morale and destroy her career.
He opined that great talents like Ebony and Wiyaala need to be pushed further so they remain relevant in the next decade.
Speaking on the recent public condemnation of Ebony’s dressing for shows, Kojo Antwi told Accra based Kasapa FM that sex and nudity has now become part of the Ghanaian society and musicians are also buying into it.
“I’ll sit with Ebony and her team indoors than go on radio to advice them on possible means of helping project her brand to the world and not to go on radio to condemn her,” he said.
President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGHA), Bice Osei Kuffour, known in showbiz as Obour, delivered a damning assessment of Ebony’s choice of costumes for shows.
According to him, the types of dresses that the dancehall songstress wears for events is downright bad, and must not be condoned.
Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng is a Ghanaian dancehall/Afrobeats artist widely known for her hit songs "Poison" and "Kupe".
