Veteran Ghanaian highlife musician, Nana Acheampong has opened up on his alleged grudge with his former group member, Charles Kwadwo Fosu, better known as Daddy Lumba.
According to the musician, he still can’t understand why people hold on to old suggestions that he and his former colleague don’t see eye-to-eye.
Speaking exclusively to Joy News in Accra, Nana Acheampong clarified that he and Daddy Lumba decided to split in a friendly manner contrary to speculations out there.
“I challenge those who care to ask Daddy Lumba whether our break up was as acrimonious as people are making it look”, Nana said.
He also added that, "we sat down and we talked about it, Charles let’s go solo, we will meet again. I have never had a problem with my brother Daddy Lumba, and we are still friends".
Prior to their solo careers, Daddy Lumba and Nana Acheampong were together as ‘Lumba Brothers’ until they broke away years ago.
However, Nana Acheampond says he is currently in a studio recording 2018 album with Daddy Lumba and some other young artistes.
Nana Acheampong maintained that though he is aware the music industry is chocked, he will still make impact by featuring young talents in order to penetrate the market.
