Veteran Ghanaian hiplife artiste, Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darko, widely known as Obrafour, has disclosed that he was unable to host his Power Breakfast Show on Metro FM due to some technical challenges.
According to a report by Abretepa.com, Obrafour has revealed that management of the radio station drew his attention to the technical challenge, contrary to speculations about the failed show.
The musician was billed to host Power Breakfast Show on Kumasi-based Metro FM two years ago, but to the disappointment of many, the show never went live.
Speaking on Accra FM on Saturday, the hiplife artiste explained that though he was assured he was going to be live after rectifying the hitches, his fans later got disappointed.
“I was to host a show on Metro FM but they later told me they had a challenge with their antenna or something. Per arrangements, it was for a period so by the time the issue was rectified, the period had elapsed. So that explains it,” Obrafour said.
The ‘executioner’ as he is popularly noted, that though it was speculated that he had gone bankrupt due his decision to venture into radio, these claims were false as money wasn’t his problem.
“I’m not motivated by money. I think if you have a gift, you should be ready to put it at the disposal of the society. I’m blessed with the ability to speak well as it is evident in the lyrics of my music,” he said.
Obrafour added that, “being a radio presenter, I will be committed to cleaning our airwaves of vulgar language as it’s sometimes heard on radio”.
