A member of popular music group, VVIP, has disclosed that dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, aka Shatta Wale, is suffering from serious mental and spiritual illness.
According to Prodigal, Shatta needs serious prayers and has therefore called on his fans to intercede on his behalf.
Speaking on Accra-based Hitz FM on Monday, Prodigal insisted that he strongly believes there are some ‘unseen hands’ manipulating Shatta Wale in the entertainment industry.
“They need to pray for Shatta Wale. They are using him to get to other people. There is no way on earth that I will hate him. I respect him, I don’t like his ways now. He is moving in the wrong direction. He is a talented musician and breadwinner,” he said.
Prodigal maintained that though he played a crucial role in making Wale who he is today, he will not hate him for any reason.
The VVIP member further called on industry players to unite and also urged event organizers to respect the brand of other musicians.
The controversial dancehall King, at the just ended ‘S Concert’ labeled some top Ghanaian musicians as ‘broke’ and hence their inability to boast of cars and houses.
“People envy me because of the truth. You see VVIP, Tic Tac, Lord Kenya, Obrafour them. Have you ever heard they bought house, cars?,” Wale said to his fans while on stage.
