According to Prodigal, VVIP is sick and tired of Shatta Wale’s recent utterances about some Ghanaian musicians, hence the decision.

Speaking on Hitz FM in Accra, Prodigal vowed, “Me and my crew, we will never ever be on any show Shatta Wale is on. Whether they are paying us billions or whatever unless the guy changes his attitude and the vibe is right.”

The rapper insisted that until the SM boss changes for the better, they will not have anything to do with him.

“We don’t hate him, we love him as a brother but people around him are using the boy against people and it is not right. He is a nice guy and when I first met him, I don’t know now. He really needs to change his way and all the SM fans need to pray for your leader," he said.

Prodigal lamented that he was shocked to hear some of the comments Shatta Wale made about other artistes when he mounted the stage at the just ended ‘S Concert’.

“He was on stage mentioning our names, [including] Obrafour and the rest, VVIP is not on that show and I don’t know why our name has to be coming out of his mouth. But it’s about time we put a stop to a lot of things in the industry,” he said.

The VVIP member stressed that he now sees Shatta Wale as a 'deathtrap' and they are not going to allow themselves to be dragged into an unnecessarily fight.

The self-acclaimed dancehall king recently launched 'attacks' on his colleagues musicians, including some veteran Ghanaian artistes.

Shatta Wale descended on VVIP, Tic Tac and even legendary Obrafour, describing them as ‘broke’ musicians who are jealous of his success.

Shatta Wale also caused a social media war with the fans of some Nigerian artistes, especially Nigerian superstar, Wizkid, following some comments he (Shatta Wale) made in a radio interview.
