Respected Ghanaian highlife artiste, Ofori Amponsah aka All4Real, has disclosed that the current competition in the music industry misled him to produce new song that is not of his style.
According to Ofori, he has now realized his mistakes and he is going back to his core highlife music.
Speaking to Joy News’ MzGee, Mr All4Real revealed that he is no longer going to allow himself to be swayed by young talents but will maintain his standard.
“It’s true, people are talking about it, I also know it….You just want to follow the crowd but sometimes when you follow the crowd too, it doesn’t pay because there is something that makes you Ofori Amponsah,” said.
Ofori Amponsah who was introduced to commercial music in the early 2000s by ace musician Daddy Lumba, was popular for hit tracks like ‘Lady’, ‘Emmanuella’, and ‘Otoolege’.
However, he decided to quit secular music at the peak of his career to become a preacher, and even set up his own Church.
However, the musician made a U-turn few years later and announced his comeback to secular music to the surprise of many.
Ofori Amponsah since his comeback, has released ‘Alewa’ with rapper Sarkodie and also ‘17’ which featured Kwabena Kwabena.
Though he is still pushing to live up to his old brand, the singer got many of his fans on their feet at the launch of Kwabena Kwabena’s 5th album ‘Ahyesi’ over the weekend.
Ofori in his smooth performance thrilled hundreds of guests with some of his old tunes.
