It has been a year since Ghanaians voted for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to governing the country.
The NPP thus held a thanksgiving service at the Accra International Conference Center to thank God for the victory given to Nana Akufo-Addo at the 2016 elections.
The event which was themed ‘Thanking the Lord who won the battle for Ghana’ saw hundreds of supporters and government officials as well as the clergy swarm the AICC.
Speaking at the gathering, President Nana Akufo-Addo said Ghanaians should continue to pray for peace and unity across the country.
Mr Akufo-Addo polled 5,697,093 representing 53.80% of total valid votes cast with the then President John Dramani Mahama polling 4,701,162, which represented 44.40%.
