Asantehene's Chief Priest to storm KUMACA over students' deaths

-The Chief Priest of the Asante Kingdom has vowed to storm the Kumasi Academy school in connection with the recent deaths of students

Asantehene Sumankwaahene Baffour Asabre Kogyawoasu has hinted of his plans to visit the campus Kumasi Academy (KUMACA) over the strange deaths of some students within this year.

According to Baffour Kogyawoasu, who literally is the Chief Priest of Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, there is a river in the school and he will need to consult with it find out what is happening.

There has been fear and uncertainty hanging over the school as an outbreak killed six students since last Friday.

Earlier in April, seven students had died under similar circumstances meaning over a dozen deaths in the year.

Until Thursday, when the Ministry of Health announced that tests have revealed that the deaths were as a results of a strain of H1N1 Influenza, the cause of the deaths were not known and many read spiritual meanings into it.

Speaking in an interview with on Abusua FM, the Sumankwaahene stated that it was unnatural for school children to be dying in this manner and since there is a river in the school, that he will storm the school to find out the actual cause of the strange deaths..

“Ghanaians always take serious things for granted. Students of KUMACA are dying and people are describing it as natural death. I am told there is a river in the school so I will go there very soon to find out what is happening in the school” he said.
