From his humble beginning as part of “Akyeame” from 1997 till 2004, Okyeame Kwame came to the attention of Ghanaians with his unique music skills when he helped record four albums.

His brothers, Kwaku Nsiah Boamah nicknamed "Stone" and Kwaku Nsiah Amankwah nicknamed "Kunta Kinte", also perform as the hiplife duo, "Bradez".

Okyeame Kwame was honored on February 3, 2017 by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG), with the status of an associate co-opted member.

He also received the best video award at the 2017 Ghana Music Honours for his song titled Small, Small which featured MzVee.

Again, he was honoured with a United States Presidential Volunteer Service Award.

This award scheme is normally given to Americans but an exception was made for the Ghanaian rapper dubbed in recognition of his outstanding contribution towards kicking away Hepatitis B.

The People’s Choice Practitioners Awards, organised by Media Men Ghana in April 2017 saw Okyeame receive the ‘Outstanding Health Ambassador’ honour.

It was presented to him by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

His rap lyrics (which incorporate didactic themes, social consciousness and poetry) are being studied in some Ghanaian universities.
