YEN.com.gh’s attention was brought to this young woman from Kwadaso in the Ashanti Regional Capital of Kumasi.

Afia Danquah

Afia Danquah completed SHS some time ago and decided to start her own clothing business.

Currently residing in Breman, Afia went with the current flow and now creates these amazing shirts with an African print twist.

The 22-year-old, who completed Toase SHS, decided to create her own opportunities since moving forward with her tertiary education was not in the near future.

According to YEN reader Vivian Adu, Afia started her handiwork with just a needle and thread about three months ago, and sewed a pocket on her t-shirt.

She taught herself further and used African print to move on to the sleeve. From the tiniest stitch to a full-blown design, Afia has created her own brand with her colorful, Afrochic shirts that are good for any casual day.

Afia believes that in life, one doesn’t find themselves, they create themselves and that is exactly what she seeks to do, every day.
