A boys dormitory at Konongo Odumase Senior High School (KOSS) has been destroyed in a fire incident which occurred on Saturday evening.
According to information gathered by YEN.com.gh, the fire started at about 8:30pm, a time when students were in their classrooms for preps.
The is said to have destroyed many items belonging to the students as they were not around to salvage much.
Students who are supposed to live in the dormitory have been made to perch with their colleagues in other dormitories.
It is not yet known what might have caused the fire but reports suggest it may have occurred as result of faulty electrical gadgets being used by students.
Meanwhile, the cause of the fire is still unknown but it’s believed it may have been caused by a faulty electrical gadget used by the students.
KOSS, established in 1953, is the oldest second-cycle institution in the Asante Akyem area. It is also one of the most prestigious mixed schools in the Ashanti Region.
Last year, the school came in the news for the wrong reasons when it was closed down after students went on rampage over allegations that their headmistress was covering up a s*domy incident.
