-Properties of popular NDC supporter razed by fire
-Appiah Stadium who lives in a suburb of Kumasi alleged that it was caused by an NPP wing
-Spokesperson of the Invincible Forces has however rubbished Appiah Stadium’s claim
The house and a car of staunch National Democratic Congress supporter, Appiah Stadium has been destroyed by a fire outbreak in his residence in the early hours of Monday, December 11 at Kokoben, a suburb of Kumasi.
Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Accra FM to confirm the incident, Appiah Stadium allegedly ‘fingered’ the New Patrotic Party’s security wing, The Invincible Forces as the perpetrators of the fire.
The staunch John Mahama and NDC supporter told Chief Jerry Forson, host of “Ghana Yensom” that he strongly believed in his assertion because of the support he was giving to former president John Mahama.
He revealed that he was considered as a ‘threat’ by the ruling government and also believed he was a ‘pillar’ impeding progress of the government.
He called out the Invincible Forces for allegedly committing the act and said he was not going to stop supporting Mahama. He added that they had to eventually kill him to get him to ‘shut up’.
However, the Spokesperson of the Invincible Forces, Kwabena Boakye came out to rubbish claims made by Appiah Stadium. Kwabena Boakye questioned what would motivate the NPP and for that matter, the Invincible Forces to be involved in arson.
The Spokesperson of the Invincible Forces went on to advice Appiah Stadium to use the right channel to seek redress by going to the police and lodging a formal complaint.
He added that the Invincible Forces had no hand in the burning of the house and car of the NDC man so they did not expect their name to come up at all because they were innocent.
Appiah Stadium made headlines some time back when he was arrested by Police in Kumasi for allegedly tagging President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as a ‘drug addict’. He was later released on the orders of the president.
