A delegation from the family of the late Asempa FM presenter, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, aka KABA, paid a courtesy call on President Akufo-Addo to officially inform him of the death of the journalist.
Led by the chief of the Akwamu traditional area, Nana Ansah Kwao IV, the delegation handed an invitation to the president for the final funeral rites of the late journalist.
According to a MyJoyOnline.com report, President Akufo-Addo received KABA’s family, in the presence of the two deputy chiefs of staff, Abu Jinapor and Francis Asenso-Boakye.
The ‘Eko Sii Sen’ host passed away in the early hours of Saturday, November 18, at the Korle-Bu Hospital in Accra.
The news of his death sent shock waves across the Ghanaian media industry, as many associates have described the tragic demise as unexpected.
Not much is known about the cause of the broadcaster's death as the hospital is yet to release the autopsy report, however, there have been some speculations that the journalist died from stress-related conditions.
KABA left behind a wife, Valentina and a seven-month-old daughter.
