Some months back, a young man by the name Dominic experienced a situation that changed his life ever since its occurrence and it has landed him in a hospital for over 15 months.
According to a Facebook post, young Dominic got paralyzed from his waist down as he was helping a co-tenant move a TV set. It is believed that Dominic fell on his back and could no longer move.
He was sent to the district hospital in Kasoa and was referred to Korle Bu. He was in Coma for 4 days and when he came to, he was paralyzed from the neck down.
Reports coming from doctors who have reviewed Dominic’s case have concluded that his cervical spinal cord had been injured from the fall. The doctors have however estimated his surgery to cost $7,000.
Dominic’s father who is a mason and mother who works as a petty trader are at their wits end as to how to raise the amount the doctors are requiring to be able to save their son’s life.
As a result, a group of friends and concerned citizens have come together to help raise some funds for Dominic this Christmas to enable him undergo the surgery and be able to have his life back.

An appeal for funds has been set up with details in the post that is aimed at helping Dominic and his parents offset the bill for the surgery.
