Popular Ghanaian member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Agyapong has called for the arrest of some prophets in Ghana.
According to the Assin North lawmaker, some of these men of God are simply charlatans.
In a report by mynewsgh.com, he argued that some of these prophets capitalize on the gullibility of some Ghanaians in order to dupe them.
Speaking on Adom FM on Tuesday 12th December 2017, he stated that such people should be arrested and treated as armed robbers, as they are engaged in a nefarious activity.
Without mentioning names, he added that the recent increase in the number of claims of prophecies is overwhelming.
This,. he added, is because some people are simple desirous of being credited for events they did almost nothing about.

In condemning such acts, the MP said that such people are fake men of God, and as such they would incur God’s wrath if they fail to abandon their evil ways.
The maverick MP went on to say that some cunning people have found their into the presidency and as such he is always upset whenever president Akufo-Addo acknowledges them in his speeches.
Such prophets, he said, have branded themselves as persons who appear to know everything seen and unseen.
He therefore appealed to Ghanaians to be wary of people who claim to have the ability to predict the future, lest they fall into traps.
